Techspressionist Salon 105
Techspressionist Salons are a time and place in cyberspace where artists gather once a month to hang out, share their work and discuss matters relating to art, philosophy, and technology. These meetups were conceived as a modern counterpart to the Surrealist salons of the 1920’s, in which artists could meet informally to socialize and discuss ideas. Techspressionism is a 100% volunteer-based international artist community.
Spinning a Yarn
Curated and hosted by downtown doyenne Dusty Shoulders, Spinning a Yarn features literary luminaries Pamela Sneed, Karen Finley, Shelley Marlow, Una Osoto, Heather Litteer and Chiquitita.

BRICK X BRICK: Every Woman Biennial
For the Every Woman Biennial, a group of women-artists, directed by Coco Karol, will use dance and music to activate the BRICK X BRICK jumpsuits originally created by Andrea Lauer, Nikki Juen, and Sarah Sandman as a performative protest and response to misogyny. Performers wear, move and transform brick-patterned jumpsuits bearing statements of misogynistic violence made by Donald Trump–– both confronting misogyny while exhibiting the power of connection, care, and joy. Music performed live by Morely. A facilitated discussion will follow the performance, intended as a space to process and heal.
“We Are Here” Ioana Aron
In Ioana Aron’s “We Are Here,” the artist’s body becomes a site of passage, while water, in all its forms, runs through the piece as sound, rhythm, and symbol, carrying vulnerability, transformation, and emotional residue.
Opening Day!
Opening Day bursts into motion with a spectacular dance procession by Melissa Riker of the Kinesis Project alongside the brassy, jubilant Hungry March Band, activating the space with rhythm and movement. Throughout the afternoon, visitors can experience a live performance by The Singing Cabinet of Mathilde Lebeau, a coin-operated, automaton-style opera channeling tales of misogyny, technology, witchcraft, and revenge. The Biennial’s special focus on Media and Digital Technology comes alive through interactive works and activations exploring AI, creative coding, gaming, and collective ritual—alongside the debut of the Every Woman Biennial ART-O-MAT, offering collectible, artist-made miniatures for all levels of patrons. SPECTALiA!’s Opening Day invites artists, dreamers, and the wider community to gather, celebrate, and help rebuild the paradigm—together.
